The recently observed development of our civilization, that also involves telecommunication development, has significantly altered the natural environment. Artificial electromagnetic fields emitted by wireless communication devices are considered to be the worst type of energy pollution on earth and it is difficult to find any place on our planet which would be free of them.
Cracovians find this problem disturbing. The city authorities are trying to provide reliable information about electromagnetic fields. Respective countries, self-governments and non-governmental organizations take various actions aimed at protecting the citizens against that type of environmental pollution.
We hope that this event would enable the participants to exchange experience and ideas and provide inspiration to undertake further initiatives.
